“Hey I think I’ve seen that guy before.”
The Pastor Search Committee announced last Sunday that Dr. Bill Austin will be coming in view of a call as Pastor for Park Lake. Some of you will remember that Dr. Austin served as our Interim Pastor for 10 weeks this past summer before he had to resign due to a health issue. We were blessed by his time with us then and look forward to having him with us as our own.
Shortly, like a few days, after he resigned as interim Dr. Austin underwent a procedure that remedied his health issue and has since recovered his health. During the time between he has had Park Lake on his mind and in his heart. As He sometimes does, God has made evident to Dr. Austin and the search committee that He has intended us to join together in the work He has for Park Lake.
This coming Sunday Dr. Austin will preach in view of a call in the morning service. Only members of Park Lake may vote at the end of the service to extend a call to him, but all are welcome to come. I’ll let you know how it goes.
